Progress Monitoring

What happens when students perform below expectations?

At the end of each grading period, the campus reviews student failure reports and follows through on a progress monitoring plan that includes the following:

  • Campus leadership review reports for student performance.
  • Students that fall below performance expectations are added to a monitor list and possibly a probation list.
  • Family teachers develop and plan of action that can include mandatory tutorials.
  • Family teachers send that notification and plan home to parents.
  • In the event a student fails multiple classes, especially core courses like Science, Math, English, and Social Studies, a student will be placed on academic probation.

This data is reviewed again at the end of each grading period.  Parents are notified at each step.
