Core 42 Courses (Core Complete)

Core 42 Courses (Core Complete)

To be Core Complete means that a student has taken and passed a core set of 42 hours that apply toward most four year degrees in public schools in the state of Texas.  If a student achieves this designation, the courses will transfer and apply to degrees at public institutions across the state.  All of the degree plans listed above incorporate the Core Courses listed here.  If a student does not complete enough coursework to achieve an Associate Degree, but does finish the courses required for Core Complete, he/she will still be able to participate in LIT's graduation ceremony and will receive a Core Complete Institutional Award.  This will be stamped on the student's transcript, making the courses transferrable to any public university in Texas.
